Reflections on Ice

As I walk through the frozen park with my family, the cold air tingles on my skin, but the warmth of their laughter keeps me cozy. The snow-covered trees shimmer like crystals, and the frozen pond ahead glistens under the pale winter evening. I stop and peer into the ice, where my reflection stares back at me, surrounded by the sparkling world.

In that moment, I see more than just my image. I see the person I’ve become and abilities I never knew I had. Winter has taught me how to slow down and truly connect with my family. The simple joy of building a snowman together with my sister or racing sledges through the fluffy snow has shown me the power of laughter and teamwork. Through these shared moments, I’ve discovered how to express myself, listen deeply, and strengthen the bonds that matter most.

The icy reflection also reminds me to be grateful for the things I used to overlook like my family’s love, our time together, and the beauty in small moments. Winter may be cold, b

ut it has warmed my heart with lessons of gratitude, connection, and self-discovery. This winter’s tale, will stay with me forever.
